They have a person that speaks Spanish which is great for me, service is great I had an emergency with my chihuahua and they inmediatly took her inside and stabilize her. The staff is gentle and Hanna and the doctor were amazing. Thank you guys!!

Treated a stray dog that got hit and couldn’t walk, as an non-emergency situation. They repeated 10 times their policy on stray dogs which was “if the animal is not in critical condition they send it back to whoever found the animal”. They kept repeating it insisting that the dog might not be eligible to stay and all the employees did so in an argumentative manner. This situation started at the initial phone call. We got their number from the police department who told us to please take it in, they said no strings attached and they asked us to take it in. They told us the policy over the phone, and repeatedly said it. Then we got there and they repeatedly told us the policy at the intake. And then the dog got evaluated and we again were told of the policy. We love animals apparently more than the people at this hospital because we wanted to get the little guy some help. I understand there’s a crisis when it comes to strays in the phoenix area and you guys can’t take them all in. Understandable, but if we witnessed this pet roll underneath a vehicle, and not be able to walk on its hind legs, while also heavy panting, coughing and releasing its anal glands, how is that not a critical situation? If the dog got back up and ran away, we wouldn’t be talking about an emergency situation. Do better! It’s sad that people are not able to take injured strays somewhere for help when they are in an emergency. This interaction was absolutely ridiculous and could’ve have been handled differently. Maybe try CHECKING the dog first before you ASSUME that it’s okay.
